Titanium Camping Trowel 35g - TA6701 Ultralight

Burying waste properly in the backcountry needs a real edge, and a plastic trowel folds the first time it meets root-bound ground. This titanium trowel weighs 35 grams — less than a set of keys — and still digs.

This is the larger of the two Tiartisan trowels. At 205 x 70 x 37mm and 0.7mm thick it carries more blade and more leverage than the ultralight version, which is what you want when the ground is packed, stony or bound up with roots. Titanium is what makes the weight possible: it holds a working edge at well under a millimetre, and it will not rust after being buried wet and shoved straight back into a pack.

It comes with an aluminium hanging buckle so it clips to the outside of a pack where you can reach it without unpacking, plus a storage bag. If you count grams harder than you dig, the smaller TA6701G-S at 25g is the lighter option. This one also doubles as a garden hand trowel or a camp kitchen scoop.
