Foldable Yoga Mat, 4mm TPE Travel Exercise Mat

A rolled yoga mat is an awkward object. It does not fit in a suitcase, it will not stand up in a wardrobe, and it slowly unrolls itself in the boot of a car. A mat that folds instead of rolls goes flat into a bag and flat onto a shelf, and that one difference decides whether you actually take it anywhere.

TPE is the reason it can fold without cracking. It stays flexible at the crease, unlike PVC mats that develop a permanent white line and eventually split along it, and it is lighter than rubber at the same thickness. Four millimetres is the practical middle: enough padding to protect knees and spine on a hard floor, thin enough to still feel the ground for balance work rather than wobbling as though on a mattress. The surface is textured on both sides for grip.

At 183 by 61cm it is a full-length mat, not a travel compromise. Folds down for a suitcase, a gym bag, a desk drawer or a hotel wardrobe. Six colours: black, grey, blue, green, purple and pink. Suits yoga, pilates, stretching, bodyweight training and floor work at home.
