Hotel facecloths are a lottery and hostels do not provide them at all. A box of compressed disposable cloths weighs almost nothing, takes up less room than a paperback, and means you always have a clean one rather than reusing something that has been damp in a bag since yesterday.

Each cloth arrives compressed into a small disc. Add water and it expands into a full-size square in a few seconds, ready to use. Because they are dry until the moment you need them, they cannot go musty in a suitcase the way a folded flannel does, and they take up a fraction of the space.
